It's nearly International Women's Day 2015 and around the world, there are events and celebrations to mark the occasion, raise awareness of the issues that women still face, and influence the people in power that can make a difference.
One of the things we've thinking about is what it's like for women living in poverty, in different cities around the world. Which led us to wonder, what would our supporters (that's you!) ask for, to make cities safe for women?
We spoke to our friend and amazing artist Jacky Fleming about it, who has been designing feminist cartoons since the ‘70s, and she drew this cartoon for us. And we came up with a competition!
Imagine you are the woman in the picture and tell us what you would ask for this International Women’s Day, to make Safe Cities for Women. Click through on the Facebook post below and leave your answer as a comment below the picture before 18 March and be in with a chance of winning the signed, original copy of Jacky's cartoon (terms and conditions here: http://act.ai/iwdcompetition)
Happy (nearly) International Women's Day to you all!
