Ms Stella N Mukasa, Vice-Chairperson
Mukasa is a lawyer with experience in human rights, governance and legal rights of vulnerable groups, especially women.
Mr Julius Ishungisa, Treasurer
A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Certified Accountants, he has an MBA degree from Makerere University, Kampala and a diploma in Social Security Financing and Risk Management. Ishungisa is strong in accounting and finance, internal auditing, finance statements preparation and analysis, budgeting, management and strategic planning.
Mr Emmanuel Okongo Ofumbi
B.Sc in Agriculture, from Makerere University, Kampala, with several professional qualifications in development work. He has a long history of working with the civil society, as member of a community-based organisation in Iyolwa and chairperson of Tororo Civil Society Organisations’ Network (TOCINET), which has 181 members, mostly CBOs working with poor people.
Dr Dorothy Kabagaju Okello
An electrical engineer and teacher at Makerere University, Okello is a coordinator of Women of Uganda Network (WOUGNET) and is responsible for strategic planning in the organisation. WOUGNET promotes the use of information and communication technologies among women as an empowerment tool for access to information, information exchange and collaboration.
Ms Margaret Kakande
Kakande is experienced in participatory poverty assessments and monitoring and holds a Bachelor of Statistics degree. She has excellent social and statistical analysis skills, and a good team player, results oriented.
Mr James Otto
Human rights activist and founder member of Human Rights Focus (HURIFO) an NGO based in Gulu. He is also chairperson of Gulu District NGO Forum.
Mr Charles Ocici
Investment Analyst and manager of corporate credit department at Uganda Commercial Bank, which handles credit applications from small and medium size enterprises. He was member of the committee for establishment of the Capital Markets Authority and of the Stakeholders’ Transition Group, constituted by Uganda’s Minister of Labour to oversee the production of a roadmap for the liberalisation of the social security and pensions sector.
