  • ActionAid Afghanistan country office management initiated an all staff exposure visit to Guldara district of Kabul and conduct the Monthly General Staff meeting there in Guldara. Overall responsibility of organizing and coordinating the event eas borne by CCNPP Provincial Manager and the team.

    All staff were divided into three groups A, B and C; whereas the group “A” visited Baghekhushi village and met CDCs members, PRA & CDP tools, Grain Bank, and the committees; group “B” visited Malikagha village and observed irrigation canal work, CDCs meeting and documents on sub projects; and the group “C” visited Deh Naw village and observed CDC meeting, women participations, and PRA tools. After the field visit, representatives of each group shared their observations and discussed on raising points.

    The staff meeting started with launch of Country Strategic Paper by Country Director and Head of Program. According to the agenda, Head of Program Mr. Masud Khan updated on project/programs current status and future priorities as well as updates on upcoming projects including plan for PRRP, phase out of 2 LRPs, and capacity building training programs for staffs; CS Coordinator Ms. Tamanna Kebi presented her exposure visit to Nepal; and Internal Audit Manager Mr. Elyas Roheen briefed about AAA Insurance. The meeting ended with CD’s remarks on future action points.

  • We, the 61 undersigned National and International Non-Government Organizations (NGOs), members of Agency Coordinating Body for Afghan Relief and Development (ACBAR), condemn in the strongest terms the atrocious attack on NGO offices in Jalalabad (Nangarhar) on Wednesday 24 January. It has been reported that there is a loss of at least 7 lives, more than 31 people injured, including five children. We would like to pass our condolences to the families of the victims of this atrocious attack.
