Sesheeni Joud Selvaratnam

Youth Adviser

I have worked in different regions around the world over the past 10+ years and across various thematic sectors ranging from livelihoods & food security, gender and education, governance and disaster risk reduction. These experiences have enhanced my skills in community development, strategy development and implementation, coordination and positioning with external organisations, policy analysis especially in terms of focusing on the Post 2015 development Agenda and those related to youth, skills development and civic engagement.

In my present capacity here in Bangladesh, I have been involved in strategy development (policy and programme), working across the different strategic priorities in increasing youth engagement, actively working with the Partnership Development Team in looking for potential donors for project/programmes, capacity development of the youth team members in their respective positions, establishing clear operational guidelines for volunteer management, coordinating with external stakeholders (UN, Government and Civil Society) to ensure collaboration and policy review and analysis (i.e. Post 2015, Youth Policy, etc.)
