Entering China in 1998, Actionaid China established its first development area (DA) in 2002, and by 2009, Actionaid China has established 18 DAs in 5 provinces/autonomous regiones.
With the country office in Beijing, Actionaid China set up two regional offices in Xi'an (northwestern region) and Nanning (Southwestern Region).
ActionAid began working in China in 1998.
We have expanded from working in only one development area to 18 by 2009.
We work in 215 villages in 45 township of 5 provinces.
Nearly 175,000 men, women and children have benefitted directky or indirectly from our work.
