According to policy of ActionAid, donation from our sponsors will not go directly to the sponsored children or their family. However, the linkage and communication between children and their supporter is person-to-person.

 

The department of Child Sponsorship serves as a joint between the children who live in poverty and supporters who kindly support our work of fighting poverty.

 

You don’t have to be rich to help poor people, some hours of you spare time to help us to maintain this connection will also be appreciated and improve our efforts in fighting poverty together.

Message translation (Chinese to English)

We will send 2 letters with children’s message on them to our supporters as a communication between the child and his/her supporter. It is also a way for supporters to know about the situation of the life the community where the child lives. This message is written in Chinese and we need to translate them into English.

 

All the translated messages will be inserted into envelope with our printed report and some other documents. Thousands of letters need to be posted within one month, so during the "mailing season", we will need many human recourses to check the documents, packing the envelope and so on.

 

We have profiles of children need to be input to our database system. Sometimes the letters from supporter need to be kept record in that system as well.

All the messages and documents we collected from community are important and any loss will be costly for us, so most of the work above will be processed at our Beijing office.
