ActionAid Ghana is an Affiliate of ActionAid an international anti-poverty agency working in over 40 countries, taking sides with poor people in Africa, Latin America and Asia to end poverty and injustice together.

Our Vision: A world without poverty and injustice in which every person enjoys their right to life with dignity.

Our Mission: To work with poor and excluded people to eradicate poverty by overcoming the injustice and inequality that cause it.

Our Core Values: Mutual respect, Equity and justice, Honesty and transparency, Solidarity with the poor, powerless and excluded, Courage of convinction, Independence and Humility.

We are not affiliated to any religious organisation or political party position. Our only bias is being pro-poor -  we take sides with poor people without fear or favour. We put people at the centre of all our work.

We openly share our programme and financial information so as to walk the talk and also influence other public and private insitutions to be accountable to their constituents and the public.

We embrace constructive criticism and strive to always learn from our experience of working with communities, governnent and other partner organisations.

We have strong local representation  in Ghana through the national board and the General assembly and are also a member of the ActionAid international family. This puts us in a unique position to think locally and yet act globally to tackle challenges at variopus levels that make people poor.

We seek to protect, and promote rights the rights of poor and excluded people.
