Position: Women’s Protection Advisor

Join ActionAid International as the Women’s Protection Advisor and you will be part of a global team helping people to use their own power to fight poverty and injustice.

 

With a special focus on Jordan, Lebanon and Palestine, we want you to provide technical advice on women’s protection to staff and partners across the Federation with an emphasis on humanitarian responses and protracted crises. You will operate globally and support countries to embed women led community based protection approaches with a feminist perspective to enhance programme quality. You will forge strong links and networks with relevant organisations to continue developing our expertise and position in this area of work to bring our perspectives to key debates. You will also be heavily involved in working collaboratively with ActionAid Australia and ActionAid UK to progress our global protection work, build evidence of good practice, share learning and support training programmes to enhance the expertise of our people.

To succeed you will have demonstrable experience of working in humanitarian contexts on women’s protection. You will have been involved in working at regional or international level on policy/advocacy issues and have gained good knowledge of global protection frameworks and approaches plus the humanitarian architecture and conflict sensitive programming.
