ActionAid International Kenya (AAIK) is a National Non- Govermental Organisation ( NGO) with a National Board and  Management Stucture. We work in over 16 Counties  in the places where we can make the biggest impact. We tackle poverty and denial of human rights at the local level, and we challenge the causes behind them locally, nationally and globally. We work with in solidarity with women and people living in poverty and exclusion; connecting their voices, sharing ideas, spreading inspiration, campaigning, advocating and formulating public policy to eradicate poverty and ensure social justice.

    The Education for Life (EfL) project is a partnership between ActionAid International Kenya (AAIK) and the Department for International Development (DFID) of the Government of the United Kingdom under the Leave no Girl Behind window managed through the Girls’ Education Challenge Fund manager. The project implementation will be under a consortium whose members will build on their collective strengths and experiences to weave a holistic and integrated web of support around the target population and walking with them to face the barriers that have led to their marginalization. The target population for the project is hardest to reach out of school girls.

            We would like to recruit two (02) candidates to take up the position of Project Officer who will be responsible for the community and County intervention component of the Education for Life project, while working with partner organizations in either Garissa or Kilifi Counties to ensure high priority is given to delivering on the project goals.

          We thus seek to recruit a Safeguarding and Child protection Officer who will be responsible for managing child and vulnerable adult protection issues under the Education for Life project. A candidate who will also be responsible for developing strategies for creating safety nets and strengthening protection systems, advocacy activities to enforce pro-girls education policies and working with the targeted beneficiaries to navigate entrenched attitudinal barriers.

            This project is implemented in 5 counties (Garissa, Isiolo, Migori, Kisumu and Kilifi) and in partnership with VSO International and Leonard Cheshire.  The position is expected to liaise as appropriate with all the partners for effective delivery of this project across the partnership.

              We would like to fill the position of Senior Project Accountant with a candidate who will ensure that the projects’ financial performance is correctly measured on a monthly basis and reported and build the capacity of the project manager to understand the financial reports. This position will also ensure financial accountability to donors and other key stakeholders.

              We wish to recruit a Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning Coordinator who will be responsible for  managing and implementing monitoring, evaluation and learning component of the Education for Life project; including developing the monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) framework for the project in line with the project design and support colleagues in the consortium to embed MEL systems and processes in their work and to ensure the project gathers evidence and uses learning to adapt, improve and to advocate for change.

             We thus seek to recruit the National Project Manager- Education for Life (EFL) who will be responsible for the overall coordination, management and implementation of an innovative and strategic EfL programme in line with the project framework.

           This is a project implemented in 5 counties (Garissa, Isiolo, Migori, Kisumu and Kilifi) and in partnership with VSO International and Leonard Cheshire. The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating the effective delivery of this project across the partnership.
