Korto Williams

Korto Williams is the Country Director of AA Liberia, joining  ActionAid in 2007 as Women’s Rights Coordinator. Most recently, she worked as Programme Manager of the organization.

She has some 10 years of development experience working on post-conflict reconstruction and women’s rights issues in Liberia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Haiti and Burundi.  Before joining ActionAid, she worked with a variety of development institutions, including the US Agency for International Development, the UN Development Programme and the International Foundation for Education and Self-Help, as well as with a number of local NGOs.

Ms. Williams holds a Master’s degree in Sustainable Development from the School of International Training (now the SIT Graduate Institute) in Vermont, USA. She is also a certified Cognizant Technical Officer (USAID), a published writer and a feminist.
