Festival-goers were eager to be involved at Wireless Festival
ACTIVISTA UK
After a successful weekend at Wireless, ACTIVISTA attempts to break Guinness World Record at Reading

This year ACTIVISTA UK are taking the HungerFREE message to music festivals across the country to raise awareness about the issue of global hunger and get festival-goers involved!

The ActionAid team appeared at Wireless festival last month and had an amazing response from over 400 festival-goers (despite the wet weather!) who signed up and had their photo taken.

In August, ACTIVISTA volunteers will be getting down with the London crowd at the Underage and Field Day festivals in Victoria Park and will be rocking out at Reading on the bank holiday weekend, where they will be attempting to break the Guinness World Record for biggest air guitar performance!

They are also running a competition inviting people to upload their own air guitar video onto the ActionAid MySpace site for a chance to win tickets to the sold-out festival!

At the festivals ActionAid provide a chill out tent with comfy seating, games for people to play and free stickers and badges to take away.

ACTIVISTA volunteers also talk to festival-goers about the different ways they can get involved with ActionAid – chat with friends, travel, have fun, make music – and help people fight their way out of poverty at the same time.

Look out for the ActionAid tent at your next festival!
