This would enable ActionAid Nigeria identify capacity development, policy advocacy and research requirements and develop a comprehensive engagement on public services at the national level.
For ActionAid, public service would mean not only basic services like education, health, housing, safe drinking water and sanitation, electricity but also access to other productive services like agriculture credit and extension services.
The output of this process will form a baseline that will be used to:(1). develop advocacy strategies on the quality, equity and gender responsiveness of public services;(2). develop local rights programme strategies to hold governments and corporates to account;(3). inform workshops on transforming public services provision; and(4). also shared widely within ActionAid federation and with other key stakeholders.
