Since starting in 1992, ActionAid Pakistan has been working hard to fight for the human rights of the poor and downtrodden, those often forgotten by the society around them.
Where male dominance and inequality is rife we endeavour to do all we can to support women and raise them to an equal level with men, in any way we can.
We hope to achieve this by working directly with the people who will most benefit from our help, making a real difference that works immediately across many communities.
Changes that benefit the privileged few are seen by us as little more than a step backwards, and in our fight against poverty and injustice our focus will always remain on the forgotten and downtrodden.
In places where people are driven apart by the colour of their skin, their sexual orientation, their ethnicity, disability or even their HIV status, we will be there to show solidarity and fight for equality.
