David Barisa Ringa

David Barisa joined the Land Grabs Campaign Team from ActionAid Kenya in August 2013. 
He has more than 8 years experience with ActionAid having begun working in the field as a Community Development Facilitator, then serving as an LRP Program Coordinator, a Policy Research Coordinator and as Team Leader for the Coast Region, managing 7 LRPs. 
David’s passion and commitment to campaigns and land issues is shown by his active and successful involvement in the land rights campaign in Kenya, which has contributed to reform of the land laws. 
David was central in bringing the Dakatcha biofuels land grab case to international attention and he has presented his campaigns experiences in both Europe and Africa, contributing to lobbying on biofuels at the European Parliament.
