Bombali DA covers three chiefdoms (Bombali Shebora, Magbaimba Ndohahun and Sella Limba) in the Bombali District.
Poverty is relatively high in the three chiefdoms, a situation compounded by the ten-year civil war. These chiefdoms have benefited from very little development assistance, have a large presence of war widows, and visible signs of low farming activities, which pose a threat to household food security.
The DA offers opportunities for increasing AAISL’s understanding of poverty in the whole country and has potentials for advocacy, innovation, capacity and partnership work.
