Moyambais is one of the newest of ActionAid Sierra Leone's DAs.
Moyamba DA covers two out of fourteen chiefdoms (Timdel and Kagboro) in Moyamba district, Southern Sierra Leone.
Poverty is relatively high in the two chiefdoms, a situation compounded by the ten-year civil war.
These two chiefdoms were selected due to limited development assistance, high levels of illiteracy and visible signs of low farming activities, which pose a threat to household food security.
