Moshaweng Municipality has 124 schools, 22 medical facilities, 2 police stations and no courts of law.

The majority of people are between the ages of five and nineteen and only a small percentage are over the age of sixty-five.  The majority of households are classified as ‘Rural Tribal Villages’ with a further 1.44% classified as ‘Rural Farms’. 

Over 50% of the population does not have access to waste removal and telephone services. Over 65% of the population is less than 29 years old, 52.4% of the population is female with a 50 –50 percentages in terms of head of household.  The primary language in the district is Setswana with 85%, followed by Afrikaans standing at 11%.
