ActionAid Thailand works with local partners to fight poverty and injustice across the country. Together, we fight for, and enable Thailand's poorest people to gain their rights to food, shelter, work, education, healthcare and a voice in the decisions that affect their lives.

A programmatic focus for 2008 in particular is to enable children in Thailand's ethnic communities and slums to have access to quality education. We are also working to help some of Thailand's poorest people to fully recover from the Asian Tsunami tragedy, enabling them to live fully self-sufficient lives and overcome discrimination. Women and girls receive particular attention, so that they may fully access their rights to productive livelihoods.
