In the midst of plenty can often be found poverty.
It was this observation in the year 2000 that prompted ActionAid to begin work in Nigeria as part of its worldwide fight for the poor, excluded and downtrodden.
We believe that people should be given the personal strength and power to stand up and demand what is rightfully theirs; a life free of intolerance, injustice, poverty and oppression.
We believe each and every member of Nigerian society should be able to lead a dignified fulfilled life, regardless of their gender, their race, or their social status.
We wish to see a Nigeria free of poverty, where nobody feels poor or excluded and everyone has the chance to exercise their rights, express their views and stand on an equal footing with those around them.
