ActionAid supports its partners to lobby to ensure that companies operating in Zambia have put in place publicly accessible mechanisms that demonstrate that they are aware of, prevent and mitigate adverse human rights, social and environmental impacts of their operations, including their supply chains and financing mechanisms.
Our partner organisations also support communities to resolve grievances with companies relating to human rights violations, including loss of livelihoods and environmental damage and engage them in governmental decision-making processes that condition how companies affect people’s livelihoods.
Our three partner organisations are:
- Green and Justice (operating in Mufulira District, Copperbelt Province)
- Ndola Diocese (operating in Chingola, Copperbelt Province)
- Musele Taskforce (operating in Musele Chiefdom, Northwestern Province)
