Child Sponsorship (CS) is accountable for up to 40% of the ActionAid’s annual income, so this Child Sponsorship Operations Officer role is an important one for the Federation.  The role will work with the Child Sponsorship and Individual Giving Advisor to support the global Sponsorship community through a critical period of CS modernisation. The role will support countries to maintain quality communications and processes while at the same time supporting the introduction of innovative new working practices. 

You will support the Child Sponsorship and Individual Giving Advisor by being point of contact for all sponsorship operations across the federation. You will work closely with our CS staff across countries and with staff in our fundraising markets making sure we deliver the best possible experience for our sponsors. This is an exciting opportunity to join the ActionAid Global Secretariat at a crucial time for the modernisation of Child Sponsorship. This role is offered as a two-year fixed term contract. 

You should have solid experience of working in a sponsorship management or coordination role either within a country programme or fundraising market environment. You should be familiar with fundraising innovations in child sponsorship. You should have considerable experience working with child sponsorship databases and maintaining high standards of sponsorship servicing to supporters. You should have experience in performance management and training staff in child sponsorship processes ideally across multiple countries.
