ActionAid Arab Regional Initiative (AA, ARI) invites proposals for partnerships at the national and Governorate level in Jordan. ActionAid Arab Regional Initiative (AA, ARI) is an international Organization that works in Middle East and in 45 other Countries across the globe. AA ARI has a vision of strong and vibrant civil society and representative states that respect, promote, protect and fulfill human rights, democratic and good governance across the Arab region and the globe. We believe that an end to marginalization and injustice can be achieved through individual and collective action, initiated by the active agency of the people themselves; supported by comprehensive, credible rights-based alternatives and campaigns that address the structural causes and consequences of injustice and poverty. Over the next three years, ActionAid Arab Regional Initiative is committed to seven key change promises one of which is Change Promise 2 that; We will support local citizens awareness to participate in the political processes and help bring about a substantial change in the responsiveness of governments to the demands of the people
Our key objectives are;
o To harness the leadership of youth as agents of change & for democratic principles, good governance and overall equality, equity, justice, access to information, quality public services and a responsive leadership.
o To build the active agency of women and girls to address all forms of discrimination and injustice.
o To promote rights-based responses to conflict in the region.
The initiative in its work uses the human rights based approach along with working in partnership with other like-minded organizations a core overarching and necessary principle that cuts across geographies and levels to be more effective and efficient to maximize the impact of our collective effort
Who can apply?
1-Interested Applicants should be located and working in the following areas; Karak, Jarash, Maadaba, Zarqa and Amman Governorates
2- Legally registered CBO|NGO or un-registered organizations, groups, networks, alliances, coalition or movements
3- Willing to and has proven experience working with youth and women
4- Focusing on advancing good governance
5-Willing to apply the Human Rights Based Approaches in the partnership
6- Willing to work in partnership with other stakeholders
